Lead Electrical Engineer, Hardware Design (Bothell, WA) Role Overview
Lead hands‑on electronics design for battery‑powered Sonicare products, taking project‑level hardware from concept through industrialization and production readiness. Key Responsibilities
Own project‑level electronics design for Sonicare products as a hands‑on technical lead, making sound hardware design decisions independently while partnering with hardware architects on platform direction. Design schematics, guide and review printed circuit board layouts, and resolve cross‑disciplinary hardware design issues in partnership with firmware, mechanical, verification, industrialization, procurement, suppliers, and central layout teams. Turn designs into reliable high‑volume products by applying design‑for‑manufacturing and design‑for‑test, supporting automated functional test, analyzing production data to identify quality‑critical trends before they become production issues, and working with suppliers during industrialization. Deepen your leadership in battery‑powered, connected, motorized consumer healthcare products, with about 10% international travel to Asia and Europe to collaborate with global colleagues, suppliers, and partners. Qualifications
7+ years of hands‑on electronics hardware design experience with ownership of battery‑powered products in high‑volume consumer, regulated healthcare, connected, or motorized device environments. Knowledge of lithium‑ion battery system design, low‑power embedded hardware, mixed‑signal board design, schematic capture, layout review, resonant motor or power‑drive electronics, and design to safety, electromagnetic compatibility, radio, and electrical standards. Experience with wireless hardware integration for compact products, including radio‑frequency layout practices, antenna placement, grounding, shielding, and regulatory test support. Ability to balance cost, reliability, performance, manufacturability, and risk, and comfortable using electrical design and product lifecycle management tools. Siemens Xpedition and Windchill experience are preferred. Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. Requirements
Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum physical, cognitive and environmental job requirements (with or without accommodation for this position). Must be able to travel internationally as needed. Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: $142,000 to $227,000. Additional compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long‑term incentives. Benefits include generous PTO, 401(k) with up to 7% match, HSA with company contribution, stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more. EEO Statement
