With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG) creates all of KLA's metrology and inspection products and is seeking research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Job Description
Our EBeam line, the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, delivers high‑resolution imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any wafer layer. Customers use EBeam alongside KLA’s wafer inspectors to rapidly identify and correct manufacturing defects. Responsibilities
Product Development: characterize next‑generation semiconductor wafer inspection and metrology products; design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, and publish results in application notes. Use‑Case Demonstrations: conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase performance and develop use cases that drive tool sales. Customer Support: demonstrate product value during beta testing, evaluations, and head‑to‑head sessions; investigate yield issues and provide inspection solutions; create and share product value statements and use cases with engineering, marketing, and sales groups; train customers and other application engineers. Travel: domestic or international travel up to 50% on short notice (4‑8 week trips). Qualifications
Minimum: Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: high energy, self‑driven, able to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment; strong background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment highly desirable. Skills: excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to perform complex data/image analysis with data‑analysis tools; teamwork is critical. Travel: Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 50% of the time. Base Pay Range
$97,800.00 – $166,300.00 annually. Primary Location
