The Cloud Platform team is looking for a highly motivated, technology-focused individual with a passion to work on a collaborative software delivery team to enable the creation and management of platforms and APIs deployed to the mobility ecosystem. The position will be responsible for implementing platform and API solutions. The candidate may function in different roles within the team, from architect to highly skilled software developer and technical team leader, to consultant and product evangelist.
Responsibilities
Engage customers to capture use cases, pain points, and requirements; advocate user-centric solutions.
Design, develop, and deliver solutions for complex problems using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
Evaluate requirements and select the optimal technology stack, integration approach, and deployment strategy.
Produce high-level software architectures that define structure, components, and interfaces.
Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, and other cross-functional teams.
Define and enforce test strategy, guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with company vision, regulations, and best practices.
Apply programming best practices, including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
Implement security measures to protect user data (encryption, anonymization).
Design user-friendly, interactive interfaces.
Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and microservices.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies; contribute to solutions for new stack layers and industry collaborations.
Experience Required
6+ years in Java, Microsoft Azure, Cloud infrastructure, Cloud computing, Kubernetes, GCP Cloud Run, Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IAM, Apigee.
Experience Preferred
Designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions.
API design and integration for system/data exchange (JSON, REST, Swagger).
Implementing cloud security best practices.
Supporting critical, always-on applications.
Hands-on with GCP tools: Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Schedulers, Apigee, GCP Logging, Terraform; CI/CD pipelines like Cloud Build and Tekton.
Canary deployments; tools such as Postman.
Business continuity / disaster recovery.
Cloud architecture.
Hybrid cloud.
Complex deployment planning.
Jenkins.
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree.
Salary Range
$61.00 - $66.00 per hour.
