Role Overview This is a professional sales role where you will be the face of PepsiCo in your territory, driving revenue, profit growth, and customer service excellence.
Responsibilities
Primary territory salesperson to all account types in assigned geography including small accounts such as convenience, gas, drug stores, dollar stores, and large supermarkets and mass merchants.
Provide professional selling and drive revenue share and profit growth by managing communications with Store Owners, Store Managers and other potential buyers.
Manage all aspects of sales in small‑format and low‑volume accounts, including upselling, ordering, and inventory management.
In large‑format and higher‑volume accounts, drive incremental selling initiatives and collaborate with a pod of Merchandisers.
Develop and motivate a team of Merchandisers on accurate order submission, customer service, display execution, and inventory.
Grow and develop customers in assigned territory.
Monitor and administer high‑level contract compliance for small‑format accounts.
Communicate incremental displays and product needs to Merchandisers.
Provide superior customer service and build strong relationships.
Execute local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions.
Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers, Territory Sales Leads and Merchandisers to target incremental selling opportunities and drive KPIs such as Revenue, Share, Waste and Profit.
Effectively sell small‑format annual Customer Development Agreements, holiday promotions and various initiatives.
Ensure product availability, rotation and appropriate pricing.
Be flexible with schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Periodically lift up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old.
Must have a reliable car to access multi‑store locations.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Indefinite right to work in the United States.
Desired Experience
Experience in sales/selling (new products, promotions, distribution, pricing).
Experience in account management (meeting sales targets, execution and service).
Experience with business‑to‑business selling.
Experience with incremental selling (upselling, suggesting additional product).
Experience selling beverages and/or consumer products.
Experience with financial targets (volume, sales, revenue).
Experience with profit margins and gross profit dollars.
Experience with fact‑based selling (data‑driven).
Experience with solutions selling.
Experience upskilling or developing others.
Experience in customer service.
Experience with merchandising (planograms, displays, stocking).
Experience managing inventory.
Experience with in‑store marketing.
Experience working under limited supervision.
Experience following safety procedures.
Experience managing a route.
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Experience with PepsiCo sales applications such as SMARTr and Savvy.
Proficiency with P.E.P.S.I. and Premier.
