Administer, optimize, and secure SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases supporting USDA NRCS mission‑critical applications.
Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and high‑availability implementations across on‑prem and cloud (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) environments.
Implement DevSecOps practices: automated provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code for database deployments.
Collaborate with software developers and architects to modernize legacy systems, ensuring data governance, compliance, and audit readiness.
Maintain database documentation, disaster recovery plans, and conduct regular security assessments.
Requirements
5+ years DBA experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
Proficiency in cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) and migration strategies.
Strong knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with DevSecOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
US citizenship or permanent residency required; USDA Public Trust clearance preferred.
