This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with review and training of a variety of maintenance safety procedures while working in a safe manner and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. This position may work in any department within Harvest or Processing at this beef processing facility. Job duties require standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching in all areas. The ability to climb stairs and ladders is also required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Work environments may include cold, damp, or hot and humid conditions, with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 105°F. Tasks:
Maintenance Safety Review Specialists are responsible for performing verifications, making any updates or changes, updating the books, and making copies of the changes. They are also responsible for reviewing and auditing existing lockout/tagout forms on an annual basis. Additionally, Maintenance Safety Review Specialists work with management to update procedure forms for any new or modified plant equipment, and assist supervisors in enforcing or following up on maintenance work permits.
Requirements:
Must be a Level 8 maintenance technician. Candidates with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension in the past 12 months will not be considered. Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Must be able to read, write, and interpret general equipment safety procedures to ensure safety.
