Role Summary We are looking for an AI‑first Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. Working within the Pharmacy Finance team, you will leverage generative AI, large language models, and machine learning to develop intelligent analytics solutions, replacing traditional reporting methods with AI‑driven automation and insights. You will build AI‑powered tools that transform how the team interacts with data and models, prioritizing AI‑native approaches over conventional BI workflows.
Key Job Responsibilities You know and love working with business intelligence tools, can build statistical models using multidimensional data sets and can partner with business owners to answer key questions. You know and love working with AI and machine learning technologies, can build intelligent solutions using generative AI and foundation models, and can partner with business owners to answer key questions faster and more effectively than traditional methods allow. You are analytical, innovative, creative, disruptive, and you don’t give up. In this role you will have an opportunity to launch AI‑powered features in our financial reporting engine, build GenAI products to drive automated insights, develop AI agents that enable stakeholder self‑service, and implement end‑to‑end intelligent solutions that replace manual reporting workflows.
A Day in the Life
Interface with finance leaders, product managers, data engineers and software developers, gather requirements and deliver complete analytics/reporting solutions.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve profitability.
Improve Amazon Pharmacy’s capabilities/products and help business owners uncover hidden opportunities using data, analytics and machine learning.
Understand business and product strategies, goals and objectives. Set the analytics roadmap to drive the goals of the business.
Own the analytics for one or more product areas, lead planning, execution and delivery of projects for that area(s), manage stakeholders and internal customer/client needs/requests.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
Design and build AI‑driven automation for data pipelines, reporting workflows, and operational processes.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into analytical frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Git or an equivalent distributed version control system.
Experience with AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3).
Experience building GenAI/LLM‑powered analytics solutions or AI‑driven automation.

The base salary range for this position is 99,500.00 – 160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
