In this role, you will be charged with driving business unit performance by managing all key performance indicators, allocating resources efficiently, and championing employee engagement and development. The Business Unit Manager spearheads continuous improvement initiatives, identifies and implements opportunities for innovation and cost control, and mentors frontline leaders for career growth. Excellent communication skills are needed to coordinate across all organizational levels and to present strategies to both plant and corporate leadership. Your leadership will empower the team to achieve operational success, foster accountability, and contribute to the growth of both the organization and its employees.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

•    Ensure a safe workplace by maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies for all employees.
•    Oversee adherence to all food safety, quality (HACCP, SQF, RBI), and environmental standards; participate in audits and promote effective cross-functional communication on these matters.
•    Leads Line structure team performance and responsible for effective Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, ensuring operational goals are clearly communicated and the team is aligned on daily objectives, with open channels for feedback and discussion.
•    Convert issues raised during DDS meetings into clear, actionable daily plans; monitor progress, provide feedback, and implement timely corrective actions as needed.
•    Facilitate Weekly DMS meetings to review operational trends, use data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities, and establish measurable objectives for the team.
•    Conduct Monthly Business Unit Reviews, preparing detailed reports, analyzing performance, and sharing best practices across all business units
•    Leverage data analysis to develop and implement 90-day performance plans for the business unit; track progress, adjust strategies, and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
•    Manage training and competency validation for all team members to ensure proficiency and compliance with standards.
•    Collaborate with R&D to enhance production line capabilities and support new product launches as business needs evolve.
•    Work with Human Resources on investigations and disciplinary actions as necessary to uphold standards and resolve issues.
•    Monitor ingredient and labor usage to ensure alignment with plant standards and maintain product quality objectives.
•    Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to meet production requirements and achieve plant objectives effectively.
•    Partner with Plant Leadership to secure necessary resources, resolve operational issues, and support ongoing training and professional growth for team members.


Ingredients Required for Your Success

•    Degree in related field of study preferred.
•    3-5 years supervisor level experience in manufacturing environment. 
•    Experience in the food industry preferred.
•    Ability to interface and leverage digital information across multiple platforms.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
