The Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence delivers analysis, insights, and reporting for SHRM’s internal business units, including membership, marketing, finance, and events teams. This role is responsible for understanding SHRM’s data systems and business processes related to membership and translating complex data into accurate, actionable insights that inform decisions across the organization.
Work Environment Hybrid Schedule (3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote): Tuesday‑Thursday in office, Monday/Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00‑9:00 a.m. and concluding between 5:00‑6:00 p.m. local time.
Responsibilities
Analyze large data sets from multiple sources to identify trends, drivers, root causes, and business improvement opportunities, and visualize those findings using traditional and digital data visualization tools.
Lead analysis and reporting of SHRM’s customer data to support decision‑making across membership, marketing, finance, events and other teams.
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx and SQL.
Enhance and standardize data collection processes and procedures ensuring consistent governance.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand questions, validate results and translate data into clear, actionable insights, reports or dashboards.
Support a fact‑based and data‑driven culture by delivering timely, trusted analysis that informs planning and investment decisions.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
