Join the Missions Systems Operations Technology team as an Ignition Developer and Data Analyst. This remote position supports and expands Connected Factory, Factory Visuals, and digital initiatives across aerospace & defense manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
Develop Ignition Perspective dashboards, HMIs, analytics, and alarms for manufacturing and operations support. Build user‑friendly stakeholder interfaces and visualizations that support production workflows. Maintain and troubleshoot existing Ignition applications, implement upgrades and enhancements. Provide data analytics support to operations stakeholders, transforming datasets into self‑service dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI. Troubleshoot data discrepancies in collaboration with digital technology and stakeholders. Translate manufacturing needs into scalable software solutions with cross‑functional teams. Configure and manage on‑premises and Azure SQL databases. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement projects. Document solutions, create standard operating procedures, and deliver basic user training. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and at least 5years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3years of experience. 1+years of Ignition development experience (Perspective, Python scripting). 1+years of Tableau experience. Proficiency with SQL databases (queries, table structure, stored procedures). Strong UI design ability and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with Agile project management methodologies. Preferred Qualifications
Ignition Gold certification or intent to achieve within the first year. Extensive scripting and dashboarding expertise. API development and web application creation. Power BI experience. Industry4.0 knowledge (connectivity, IIoT, AI, machine learning). Manufacturing environment experience and familiarity with MES. Proximity to Cedar Rapids, IA; Rockford, IL; or Largo, FL. Team‑oriented, collaborative attitude with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
