Reporting to the Global PMO Manager, the Associate IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects under limited guidance from senior project managers. This role is part of the Global IT Department, located in Glen Allen, VA, and will be hybrid. Responsibilities
Lead planning and tracking of project progress. Document project goals, scope, stakeholders, and success criteria. Develop and maintain project documentation such as communication plans, risk & issue logs, and status updates. Lead project meetings, prepare meeting notes, and drive resolution of action items. Produce project status reports and communications for stakeholders. Manage project closure activities including documentation and lessons learned. Collaborate on quality assurance and training activities (e.g., user acceptance testing). Contribute to business process improvement initiatives. Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or 5+ years of relevant work experience). Minimum of 3 years of IT project management experience, including managing multiple projects concurrently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Project. Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, DevOps). Preferred
PMI or Agile Certification. MS D365 ERP experience. Knowledge & Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills across departments and stakeholder levels. Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed team environment. Solid understanding of PMO processes and artifact usage. Strong organizational and time management skills. Willingness to learn and grow in project management practices.
