As a key representative of our brand, you will drive catering business growth, foster long-term client relationships, and oversee flawless event execution.
Key Responsibilities Sales and Business Development
Identify and secure new catering clients through innovative sales strategies and community engagement
Focus on booking onsite events at our venue and coordinating offsite catering services for external locations
Cultivate lasting relationships with repeat customers to drive loyalty and consistent business growth
Represent Terry Black’s Barbecue at networking events, industry expos, and community functions
Contract Negotiation
Develop tailored catering proposals and finalize contracts to balance client satisfaction and profitability
Ensure clear communication of client needs to internal teams for seamless event delivery
Event Planning and Execution
Collaborate with clients to craft customized barbecue menus and coordinate event logistics for both onsite and offsite events
Partner with store leadership and catering teams to ensure exceptional preparation and service
Oversee inventory management and ensure all catering equipment is maintained and ready for use
Team Collaboration and Leadership
Act as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth operations
Mentor and guide the catering team to deliver outstanding customer experiences consistently
Market Analysis and Reporting
Track catering sales performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
Stay current with industry trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
Work Requirements
Must be available to work 40-50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed
Be prepared for flexible hours to accommodate event schedules and client needs
Qualifications Experience
Proven track record in catering sales or high-volume event management, ideally within the barbecue or restaurant industry
Expertise in cultivating client relationships and negotiating contracts
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Proficiency with Triple Seat or other CRM platforms for managing client relationships and event details
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Problem‑solving aptitude and the ability to adapt under pressure
