Role Overview We are seeking a Design Consultant to join our team in Corbin, KY. This on‑site contract role is ideal for someone who excels in customer interaction, has an eye for design, and thrives in a consultative, relationship‑driven environment.
The Design Consultant will meet with homeowners in our showroom and in their homes to understand their needs, assess project goals, and guide them through product selections. You will help customers choose styles, colors, and finishes that enhance both functionality and aesthetics while aligning with their budget.
Key Responsibilities
Customer consultations to understand needs, preferences, and project objectives
Provide design guidance for windows, doors, and siding
Present product features, benefits, and style options with clarity
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
Follow up on leads and maintain strong customer relationships
Coordinate with installation and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience
Maintain detailed records and utilize digital tools and systems effectively
Qualifications
Strong customer‑facing skills and the ability to build trust
Proven sales aptitude from consultation through close
Knowledge of interior design principles and practical home‑improvement solution
Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills
Ability to take measurements and interpret basic drawings (training available)
Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with digital tools
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience in home improvement, design consulting, or sales preferred
