Controller - Confidential

Our client is a high-growth technology company looking for a seasoned Controller to take full ownership of the accounting function. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO, leading a team of six across accounting, billing, tax, and compliance. The Controller will serve as a key financial partner to cross-functional leadership while driving process improvement and systems optimization. Responsibilities:

• Lead all core accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee billing operations and ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and recurring/subscription revenue principles
• Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and lead optimization of Intacct and other financial systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
• 710+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 23 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax compliance, external audit management, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• SaaS, technology, or fintech/payments industry experience strongly preferred
