Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant works directly with a Physician to assist in the examination and interviewing of patients and perform basic office duties. This is an on-site position. Medical Assistants receive clinical supervision and direction solely from licensed providers. The Clinic Operation Manager provides administrative and operational oversight only. *This a temporary, full-time role that will support our San Leandro site three (3) days a week; and our Fremont site two (2) days a week. What You Will Do:
Works directly without Physicians to assist the assessment and examination of patient. Record patient subjective information and concerns. Enters all information into the BHCEMR system. Periodically checks on patient welfare until Physician begins examination or procedure. Assists Physician in completing patient request forms. Performs daily exam room and stock room inspection, ensures supplies are adequate for patient care. Performs additional responsibilities as appropriate to the role and scope of practice. May be asked to travel to our other office locations to assist Physician as needed. Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school. Current BCLS with AED certificates. Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Must be comfortable using Electronic Medical Record software (we will train the successful candidate to use our software). Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, medical professionals, and co-workers. Knowledge of all state and federal regulations pertaining to confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment, and safety guidelines. Ability to anticipate patient needs and take proactive measures to meet those needs and resolve issues (within scope of practice). Interested in being an effective team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others. Bi-lingual - Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Compensation Range: $23.00 to $24.00 Hourly All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations. Why You'll Love Working Here:
