Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Hub-and-Spoke reference architectures for hybrid and cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and Azure networks.
Configure and manage advanced load balancing solutions such as Azure Application Gateway (cloud).
Implement and manage network security using Firewalls (Azure Firewall), Network Security Groups (NSGs), User-Defined Routes (UDRs), and Private Endpoints for secure connectivity.
Establish and maintain VPN connectivity and VPN Gateways to support hybrid networking scenarios, including VNet peering and subnet segmentation within Azure.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for networking components, integrating with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate deployment and configuration.
Ensure compliance with Azure reference architectures and industry best practices for network design and security.
Implement centralized logging and analytics for network traffic and security events, integrating with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and SIEM solutions such as Microsoft Sentinel.
Configure diagnostic settings for VNets, Firewalls, and Gateways, and create dashboards and alerts for proactive monitoring and incident response.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive hands‑on experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure, including Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, NSGs, UDRs, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and VPN Gateways.
Strong understanding of on‑premises networking concepts, including VMware Networking, F5 Load Balancers, and Firewalls (FirePower Threat Protection).
Proven track record in implementing secure networking architectures, hybrid connectivity, and network segmentation.
Experience with DevOps practices, including automation of network deployments using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Expertise in monitoring, logging, and integrating with analytics platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and SIEM tools.
Ability to develop dashboards and alerts for proactive network and security monitoring.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Certifications and Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Networking Certifications and Azure Networking Certifications are highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in large‑scale enterprise and hybrid environments.
Familiarity with VMware Networking and integration with cloud networking solutions.
Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with enterprise reference architectures and best practices.
