Donation Door Attendant

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a friendly and dependable Donation Door Attendant to provide exceptional service to donors and support the efficient flow of donated goods. This front-line role is essential in creating a positive first impression by greeting donors, receiving and recording donations, and ensuring items are sorted and processed according to established guidelines. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, adaptable, and ready to assist with a variety of tasks that help keep our retail operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet donors warmly and receive, record, and sort donations in accordance with Kaizen guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Goodwill as a front-line team member.
• Assist with processing, cleaning, and preparing merchandise to support efficient store operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe donation and work areas, completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred
• Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds.
• Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
• Able to see and recognize colors.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
