You will be under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), and will assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment You will promote consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service You will demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications You will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc. You will participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues Qualifications: This position is in the Tele S3 Med Surg department High School graduate or equivalent Demonstrated or tested ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required CNA license as mandated by state of practice
