We need a heavyweight System Architect who moves beyond standard development and thinks in terms of AI-native infrastructure. This role involves leading a small two-person team and reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.
Qualifications
Senior architect mindset: Ability to design complex systems and handle architectural decisions, not just implement features.
AI-native expertise: Practical experience in AI agent orchestration, creating agent skills/tooling, and memory management within the modern AI stack.
Backend core: Strong Java and PostgreSQL.
Security & infrastructure: Familiarity with security tooling (Cloudflare and similar) is essential as you manage your own environment setup.
Language: Strong spoken English is a must.
Nice-to-have: Rust experience and previous experience managing small engineering teams.
Timezone: Ability to provide at least 4 hours of overlap with New York (EST).
