Position Overview The JDEIS enterprise needs disciplined content and data management to keep doctrine and education information accurate, accessible, and policy-compliant. The Web/Data Content Manager provides data oversight and content management across JDEIS, including website updates and data-strategy support. The role keeps JDEIS content aligned with agency messaging, accessibility standards, and data governance.
Essential Job Function
Provide data oversight and content and data management for the JDEIS enterprise.
Update associated websites and track website updates.
Maintain content in Content Management Systems in compliance with federal standards, including Section 508 accessibility.
Support data-strategy principles, including data cataloging, metadata management, and data governance alignment.
Apply SEO practices and interpret website analytics to inform content strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Associate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Training and Certification: Certified Web Accessibility Specialist (CWAS); or Google Analytics certification.
Experience: 3 to 5 or more years managing digital content in federal or defense environments, including CMS platforms; federal and DoD web content policies (Section 508, cybersecurity, OPSEC); data cataloging and metadata management; SEO; website analytics tools; and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
Security Clearance: Secret (per Staffing Plan).
Desired Qualifications
Additional certifications in digital content management, accessibility, or data governance.
Prior content management for a DoD or federal public website.
