Owning a core technical system of the camera platform, the full-time Lead Engineer - Hardware Platform will autonomously define and deliver the technical roadmap for automatic capture, device connectivity, and video pipelines while working remotely in the United States. Key responsibilities
Define and deliver the technical roadmap for a multi-phase area, resolving cross-group dependencies Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, driving urgency during incidents within the domain Enhance system operations by building tooling, libraries, and runbooks to address operational pain and tech debt Required qualifications
Proven experience owning a production technical system end-to-end and delivering against a multi-month roadmap Deep understanding of distributed systems, including state, consistency, and failure modes Experience with hardware or IoT, particularly in building software that interacts with physical devices Demonstrated operational ownership, including leading production incident responses and ensuring system reliability Ability to mentor less-experienced engineers and drive cross-group initiatives effectively
