The Opportunity The Sales Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the strategic growth initiatives & Sales team for the Florida Area. This includes acting as the CRM (Salesforce.com) superuser, supporting the Sales team with onboarding, customer issues, and AR payments, and serving as the Deal Desk leader. This role also involves acting as the liaison with Operations, Pricing, Customer Service, Design, & Finance to understand and sell open machine capacity, innovation, and value-added services, to ensure sales strategy execution.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock Business Excellence
Drive specific Area strategic initiatives related to volume growth, margin enhancement, and profitability.
Create and lead Deal Desk for Florida Area
Support and optimize the efforts of the Sales Team to aggressively drive new business into Florida Area
Margin enhancement on contract renewals (e.g., price mechanism changes, pallet/freight recovery)
Monitor profitability levels to track progress against budgeted targets and analyze monthly financial summaries.
Become the Pricing Expert for the Florida BU for specialty projects to ensure pricing consistency while optimizing profit margins.
Assist in the onboarding of new business opportunities to successfully integrate them into the Florida BU to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Become highly proficient in the Smurfit Westrock CRM (SalesForce.com) to assist and follow up with Sales & BRM’s to further contribute to the accuracy and timelines of our forecast/pipeline reporting.
Contribute to our CI Savings efforts as directed by the leadership.
Develop analysis for the identification of Margin Enhancement initiatives (i.e., 4th & 3rd quartile customers)
Develop working relationships with other Smurfit Westrock facilities to create opportunities for additional revenue streams across the enterprise capabilities.
People and Culture
Bring Commercial Excellence best practices to our sales methodology.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure effective execution of the overall Sales strategy.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify value‑adding opportunities to improve margins.
Assist with managing customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and increase customer satisfaction.
Technical Skills
Experience with Salesforce.com
Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook
Reporting tools such as QlikView, Qlik Cloud, Kiwi
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years business-to-business (B2B) Sales experience (Manufacturing/service industry preferred)
5+ years of related experience in Customer Service and/or Customer Support functions
Ability to drive results by influencing others within different functions
Ability to engage successfully with internal & external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Demonstrated sales competence and financial acumen.
