About the role Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families? Do you thrive at the intersection of practice, quality assurance, and digital systems? Are you energized by change, innovation, and collaboration? If so, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how practice is delivered, recorded, and evidenced across Children & Families Services.
Supporting practitioners across the Children and Families Service, you will align their practice with the IT system that stores and illustrates best practice across the current service and the forthcoming Family First Partnership Programme, ensuring alignment with government guidance, policy, procedures and legislation.
Key responsibilities
Turn insight, data and feedback into meaningful improvement.
Support practitioners to work confidently and consistently within our systems.
Ensure inspection‑ready evidence and robust quality assurance.
Embed learning, innovation and best practice across the service.
Lead system and practice alignment efforts.
Drive practice improvement, performance insight and dashboard development.
Horizon‑scan legislation, statutory guidance and research to inform change.
Develop and embed policy, procedures, guidance and process maps.
Provide expert advice, training and workshops to practitioners and managers.
Project‑manage service improvements and system developments.
Act as the key interface between practice, technology teams and software suppliers.
Build strong partnerships across agencies to deliver integrated solutions.
Contribute to inspection readiness, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
Deep understanding of children’s social care practice, policy and statutory frameworks.
Experience in quality assurance, performance management and service improvement.
Strong project management and influencing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment of transformation.
