Network Engineer | Patuxent River, MD CaVU is seeking a mid to senior level engineer in an advance lab environment to provide end-to-end support from RF to COMSEC to network for PMA-268 in support of the MQ-25 Unmanned Carrier Aviation (UCA) program through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk/opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project.
Requirements
Experience supporting systems engineering efforts on complex technical programs.
Wireless and Satellite Communication ground system related products
RF Communications
Satcom ground system RF and communication products and services
Satcom ground system architecture
Understanding of software architecture, requirements-driven design, and development/testing processes.
Experienceassistingwith architecture documentation and tracking of fielded and planned capabilities.
Familiarity with enterprise or system-of-systems concepts and interface management.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and deliveryobjectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and supporting stakeholder coordination.
Strong analytical skills to provide in-depth technical analysis and research of prevailing government documentation.
Ability toidentifyCOMSEC incidents, Practices Dangerous to Security (PDS)and the potential for such insecurities.
Ability to maintainhigh qualitywork to manage critical projects.
Ability to providefill device application and end unit interface trainingand troubleshootingexpertiseto end users.
Ability to create andmaintaintechnical documents and procedures.
Ability to communicate technical information professionally tomultiple stakeholders.
Technical knowledge of shipboard networks, including Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) and its associated components.
Familiar with military communication standards and protocols
Expertisewith network management tools and software
Understanding of RF principles and propagation
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to devise unconventional solutions
Experience with satellite communication systems and equipment
Bachelors degree in a related field
Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
CompTIA Security + CEasrequiredperDoD 8140certification.

Responsibilities
InterfacewithBoeing, Lockheed Martin, ITTand customer Flight Engineers,aircraftmaintenance Technicians, US Navy service members, and Subsystem SMEs to sustain operations.
Proven ability tooperateeffectively within the Navy's chain of command and enhance cross-functional coordination across diverse organizations, includingNAVAIR andNAVWAR program offices.
Cross-Functional Team Support: Support cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and IT specialists to successfully integrate emerging technologies.
Understanding of modern digital ecosystems and their application within a military framework. Experience with the Navy's digital transformation initiatives and impact on fleet capabilities.
Contributes to the development and execution of training programs for future fleetsystem, ensuring shipboard and command personnel are proficient in the operational capabilities being fielded.
Plan and execute SOVT and DT&E network events; author test plans/procedures, conduct packet analysis/throughput testing, and support TRR readiness
Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package Salary at CaVU is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, education, training, certificates, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The expected salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 To drive fair pay practices for employees, CaVU conducts regular comparisons across our employee groups and the industry. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, CaVU considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
