Role Description This full-time, on-site Information Technology Field Engineer role is based in Mumbai. The IT Field Engineer will install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, peripherals, printers, and network devices across client and internal locations. Responsibilities include providing on-site technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and escalating complex incidents when needed. The role involves routine network checks, coordinating with centralized IT teams for system updates and deployments, and maintaining accurate documentation of work orders, configurations, and assets. The IT Field Engineer will also support users with system training, adhere to company security and safety standards, and assist in IT-related aspects of facility operations and field projects.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including operating systems, hardware, and basic cybersecurity practices.
Hands‑on experience with technical support and troubleshooting in field or on‑site environments.
Practical skills in network administration, including basic routing, switching, Wi‑Fi configuration, and connectivity diagnostics.
Experience with printer support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of networked and local printers.
Ability to document incidents, configurations, and procedures clearly and accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support diverse user groups and coordinate with remote teams.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to customer or site locations as required.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
