Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Insurance Sales Representative role based in Brea, CA, with some flexibility for work-from-home. The Insurance Sales Representative will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate products across auto, home, life, and other lines. Daily responsibilities include generating leads through networking, referrals, outbound calls, and digital outreach, as well as following up on inquiries and preparing personalized insurance quotes. The individual will handle policy reviews, explain coverage options in clear terms, assist clients with policy changes, and ensure accurate documentation in the agency management system. The role also involves collaborating with team members, participating in training and coaching sessions, and staying informed on Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations to provide informed, compliant advice.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales and Sales, with a proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
Experience or strong interest in Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to understand and explain multiple lines of coverage.
Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, relationship-building, and follow-through.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, accessible way.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with comfort handling multiple leads, tasks, and deadlines.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to learn agency management and CRM systems.
Ability to work on-site in Brea, CA in a hybrid arrangement and collaborate with a local team.
Current or willingness to obtain applicable state insurance licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty; Life & Health) within required timelines.
Prior sales, retail, or customer-facing experience is preferred; insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.
