Principal Program Manager IoMT Platform

Leads cross functional portfolio and program execution to deliver the IoMT ecosystem and digital platform roadmap. Partners closely with Product Management and IoMT technology leaders to translate business and customer needs into a single, prioritized backlog and integrated release plan. Establishes clear governance, metrics, and operating rhythms to enable transparent tradeoffs, timely decisions, and predictable executionwhile accelerating the IoMT transition and sustaining the legacy ecosystem with appropriate vitality and cybersecurity considerations. Operates with moderate autonomy and strong operational judgment, with significant input into portfolio priorities and ways of working.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Principal Program Manager IoMT platform leads complex IoMT programs end-to-end, including new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, and regulatory clearances. The role drives cross-functional execution to meet quality, scope, schedule, and cost commitments while ensuring strong portfolio alignment and governance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own a single, prioritized IoMT portfolio backlog and integrated execution roadmap, facilitating tradeoff decisions across scope, timing, dependencies, and resources.
  • Drive program execution from idea to launch through clear milestones, KPIs, action tracking, and leadership-ready reporting.
  • Establish and sustain standard operating rhythms, dashboards, and portfolio hygiene to enable data-driven decisions and predictable delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), Phased Review Discipline (PRD), and applicable regulatory requirements across markets.
  • Lead and align global, cross-functional core teams (Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Service) to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate customer workflows, clinical needs, and product strategy into actionable software and platform priorities.
  • Partner with Digital & Technology teams to decompose platform strategy into well-sequenced backlogs that reflect architectural dependencies and business outcomes.
  • Develop sufficient understanding of customer use cases, system behavior, and technical architecture to challenge assumptions and drive informed prioritization.
  • Lead large-scale Agile software programs, including multi-team platform initiatives, using scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) as appropriate.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment while developing functional and domain capability within the program community.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in product development or program management
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience leading complex product development and/or software programs in a cross-functional environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience utilizing Agile and Lean delivery methods, metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with three days per week on-site at the GE HealthCare office located in Waukesha, Wisconsin
  • Demonstrated flexibility in approach to work hours, and willingness to partner with and accommodate global teams and schedules

Desired Characteristics
  • Demonstrated expertise in edge computing, cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred), distributed systems, or IoT/IoMT platforms.
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean processes and tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive daily execution and burn down of critical tasks needed to meet the program timelines.
  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
  • Extensive experience in managing NPI Programs within the Healthcare industry (from concept to product release), including in depth understanding of regulated medical device product development processes. Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products
  • Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate, and drive decisions across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proven strength in synthesizing customer needs and technical constraints to guide prioritization and scope decisions.
  • Ability to quickly develop domain understanding of clinical workflows and IoMT system behavior without being the subject-matter expert.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and ability to drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to meet business commitments and committed schedules
