About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Software Sales Representative to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to articulate the value of our project controls software to potential clients.
General responsibilities include:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the construction industry
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our software's capabilities
Collaborate with the technical team to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
Provide regular reports on sales activities and pipelineAttend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software sales, preferably in the construction or project management sector
Strong understanding of construction project management and project controls
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience with CRM software and sales methodologies
Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, and project management principles
Familiarity with construction industry software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
Experience selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Silver Spring, MD)
