Responsibilities
Build meaningful and long‑term customer relationships. Use “relationship selling” techniques through interior design consultations and makeovers to maximize selling opportunities. Discern and coordinate colors and textures in design solutions. Engage customers to determine their needs according to taste, lifestyle, and investment range. Create, present, and sell product and design solutions. Conduct virtual appointments and live chats. Drive to customers' residences and businesses for makeovers. Use complimentary design service to develop customer relationships. Qualifications
Passion for design. Highly driven to meet or exceed sales goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly outgoing personality and positive outlook. Self‑motivated and client‑focused. Computer proficiency. Desire to learn and a proven track record of success in sales. Polished image and career‑minded professionalism. Ability to listen and translate customer wants into design choices. Requirements
Willingness to work weekends and holidays. Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment. Dedicated to being a supportive team member. Capable of thriving in a varied paced retail environment. Ability to drive to customers' residences and businesses for makeovers. Adept at conducting virtual appointments and live chats. Creating, presenting, and selling product and design solutions. The Bassett Brand is brought to life by people who shape the customer experience. Our training programs are designed to help each associate create a meaningful career at Bassett. Participants will learn product knowledge, sales techniques, design skills, and how to build a base of loyal clients through comprehensive online classes, videos, hands‑on activities, and one‑on‑one coaching. Bassett offers Interior Design certification training. Compensation
Generous commission‑based compensation plan. Income is limited only by the amount of effort applied. In addition to commission on written business, there are bonus opportunities. The potential income for experienced Design Consultants averages $70,000–$105,000 per year, with top writers earning up to $135,000 per year. Benefits
