Job Summary Jacobs is recruiting a Project Manager for Defense Contractor projects such as production facilities for aircraft, ships, rocket motors, and campus buildouts. The role involves leading multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams from design kickoff through construction, primarily supporting federal projects for Defense Contractors, Department of Defense and Federal Civilian clients using Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build and other Lean Design‑Build delivery methods.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time, within budget and scope.
Serve as the primary client point of contact from project initiation to completion.
Develop project proposal fees and scope in coordination with discipline directors and design leads, and lead fee negotiations with the client.
Create communication plans and conduct status review meetings among project team members and clients throughout execution.
Determine, monitor and manage financial project metrics, schedules and staffing requirements for each project.
Guide overall development and quality of project documents, ensuring adherence to Jacobs Quality Program.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
Client‑facing Design Project Manager experience managing multiple disciplines.
U.S. citizenship.
Professional registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferred. Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification considered.
Demonstrated design and project management experience within Federal and/or DOD markets.
Experience managing projects with Defense Industrial Clients.
Experience leading design teams in Design‑Build contracts.
Compensation Base salary range: $128,200.00 to $200,000.00, with pay determined by work location and individual factors.
