Responsibilities
Perform off site base level automotive maintenance and repairs (oil change, tire rotate, filters, wiper blades, batteries)
Address manufacturer safety recalls and perform them per the Ford workshop manual procedures (must be able to read and comprehend shop instructions)
Drive company supplied mobile repair Transit van safely to customer site, set up safety precautions, and clean up area once complete (must be responsible)
Inspect overall safety of the vehicle while topping off fluids and documenting findings (must be thorough)
Document repairs and changes made to the vehicle via digital Repair Order platform in the computer system (must be computer savvy and good at typing)
Maintain efficiency and accuracy in repairing vehicles
Provide accurate quotes of repair for customers, discuss directly with customers any findings or repair concerns
Use power tools and common hand tools to perform various tasks supplied by the company - Sunset Ford supplies all tools with the mobile van
Qualifications
High School diploma
Prior Technician experience required
We will provide training regarding the mobile service processes
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
Understands basic operation of vehicles
Learns quickly
Oral and written communication skills
Customer service skills
Great teammate
Possess a clean and valid driver’s license
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean
Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner
Ability to identify problems quickly
Knowledge of automobiles
Math, reading, and computer skills
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Must have mechanical tools
