Industrial Design Engineer
This role is responsible for leading multiple project teams and overseeing complex industrial design and development stages. The role ensures that designs align with guidelines, provides feedback for improved product quality and user experience, and demonstrates leadership by managing implementation schedules, offering domain‑specific expertise, and driving innovation in design language and technology integration. Responsibilities
Lead multiple project teams of designers and internal and outsourced partners responsible for all stages of industrial design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms, including design architecture, language, validation, and specifications. Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced partners on industrial design and development. Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with industrial design and development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience. Manage the implementation schedule, coordinating timelines with internal project managers and external partners. Provide domain‑specific expertise and overall industrial design leadership and perspective to cross‑organization projects, programs, and activities. Showcase the ability to execute the vision, create detailed roadmaps, and drive technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives. Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the industrial design organization. Develop continual improvement roadmaps and oversee the deployment of these strategies across multiple functions. Guide the project team to meet schedules and milestones with high performance. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members. Education & Experience
Recommended: Four‑year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. 7‑10 years of work experience, preferably in industrial design and development of physical hardware products and systems, or a related field. Pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits
