IT Project Manager (IT PM) – Development & Delivery Focus
Location:
Charlotte, NC
Overseeing complex IT projects, ensuring their successful delivery from initiation through execution and closure. Your development expertise will enable effective communication with technical teams, enabling seamless project delivery aligned with business objectives.
Base salary for this position in Charlotte, NC is $95k-$105k/year, plus benefits as described below.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including software development, system upgrades, and integrations.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk management plans, and resource allocations.
Drive agile and waterfall project methodologies to optimize delivery timelines and quality.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with development teams, ensuring technical requirements and quality standards are met.
Facilitate effective communication and reporting with senior management and stakeholders.
Lead project review meetings, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party deliverables as needed.
Maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, and lessons learned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Experience in managing IT projects, with a strong focus on delivery excellence.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
Strong development background with understanding of software engineering, SDLC, and technical architecture.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional project management methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana).
Certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, ScrumMaster preferred.
