Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Enterprise Mobile Google Cloud's software engineers develop the next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. We are looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large‑scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. In this role, you will directly contribute to the development and maintenance of the Gemini Enterprise mobile application, ensuring seamless functionality and performance across the entire stack. You will drive innovation and best practices within the team, contributing to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, from conception and design to deployment and ongoing support. Your influence on the architectural decisions and technical direction of mobile offerings will impact the growing user base of Gemini Enterprise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
4 years of Android application development experience.
Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, ObjC, Swift.
Experience with mobile development.
Experience with backend development.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross‑functional or cross‑business projects.
Experience with Flutter and Dart.
Experience with Gen AI and AI Chatbots.
Salary US: $207,000 – $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
Key Responsibilities
Build and own end‑to‑end applications that address horizontal use cases spanning multiple industries.
Integrate Google technology, working at multiple levels of the stack from the Application Programming Interfaces (API) to the frontend.
Address the needs of enterprises and the end users of the mobile application.
Build reusable components for the development of vertical‑specific user interfaces.
Build and continuously refine features for the mobile application.
