Job Duties & Responsibilities
Actively researches potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources (i.e. HubSpot, etc.), makes multiple calls to potential customers, sends communication, and makes contact;
Collaborates with Sales team to identify new sales opportunities;
Performs focused cold calling;
Manages leads (trade show, marketing, et al) and escalates if necessary;
Manages inbound leads (from digital campaigns, tradeshows, e-commerce, etc.) by pre-qualifying them based on appropriateness and financial soundness. If warranted, directs the lead to appropriate area or manages as directed;
Continuously follows through with presenting and delivering information to potential customers, answering questions with follow-up calls;
Accountable for sales growth for accounts that they manage/own;
Builds relationships by understanding customer needs (before they do) and offering solutions and support;
Provides quotations of products requested, works with Engineering to offer cross-sell and up-sell options;
Creates and maintains an accurate and up to date list/profile/database of prospect and current customers (e.g. ERP, CRM);
Maintains purposeful continuous communication with accounts, including but not limited to, asking for the order, asking for new projects to quote or spec, asking for extended contacts;
Manages new and select existing accounts and distributors. Account ownership: convert to “owned” account at first sale;
Supports large accounts (as part of a house account strategy) and shares accountability for sales growth;
Proactively responds to RFQ’s and product questions. Manages complaints professionally – escalates if necessary to appropriate department;
Responds to inquiries on orders and invoices if a customer contacts them directly, otherwise, calls go to call center;
Organizes and leads product presentations, remote “lunch and learns”, to grow business at existing accounts, and new product roll outs;
Continuous communication with accounts, including but not limited to, follow up on previous RFQ, project conversations, and provide updates on orders;
Supports the e-commerce platform, i.e. validating orders, contacting customers, etc.;
Provides support to accounts owned by outside Sales team.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, in Marketing, Engineering, or Business Administration, preferred;
At least 3 years of manufacturing industry sales experience required, linear motion control experience required;
Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred;
Experience working with HubSpot and/or Infor preferred;
Experience with the sales process from initiation to close.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Comfortable making focused cold calls, follow up calls and talking to potential new customers all day;
Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or engineering drawings, preferred;
Working knowledge of manufacturing industries required, with working knowledge of automation industries preferred;
Persuasive and goal-oriented with an energetic and friendly demeanor;
Self-motivated and self-directed, and able to work independently or as an active member of a team;
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently;
Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching out to the next customer.

Compensation Range The compensation range that is listed is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A team member's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
