Key Responsibilities
Develop and review Contract‑specific Quality Management Plans (CQMPs).
Lead audits and surveillance of CQMP implementation.
Provide quality provisions for design and construction contracts, including scope review and contract packages.
Supervise professional transportation engineering staff: review work, assign tasks, provide training, and perform evaluations.
Implement and manage the Division’s Quality Assurance Program.
Perform other senior transportation engineering duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, emphasis in transportation engineering.
Five or more years of professional engineering experience including supervision of transportation engineering staff.
Direct experience in quality control/assurance within a QA program.
Strong background in designing highway, rail, transit, and facilities capital improvement projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with staff, consultants, and contractors.
Required Skills
Lead QA team and day‑to‑day activities.
Monitor and ensure effective implementation of CQMPs.
Provide actionable findings and resolve non‑compliance issues.
