We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic sales team. This role is focused on outbound sales engagement, targeting dormant accounts and new alternate channel distribution customers. As a key contributor to OmniCable's growth strategy, you'll identify and secure new revenue opportunities through persistent outreach and relationship-building efforts.

You'll thrive in this role if you're self-motivated, resilient, and passionate about driving business growth. Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize effectively are essential.

In this role, you will directly contribute to expanding OmniCable's customer base by activating dormant accounts and engaging new distribution partners. Your efforts will help strengthen market presence and generate a pipeline of new opportunities that fuels long-term sales success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Generation
  • Proactively engage assigned target accounts to uncover new business opportunities and increase brand awareness
  • Initiate outbound engagement via phone, email, and social media campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales enablement and marketing to qualify inbound leads
  • Promote OmniCable's product and service portfolio across all categories
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach and customer interactions in Salesforce (SFDC)
  • KPI Management
  • Own and manage monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
  • Outbound activity
  • Campaign execution
  • Account activation
  • Quotes and orders generated
  • Monitor performance and take proactive steps to meet or exceed goals
  • Partner with marketing to improve outreach effectiveness
  • Professional Development
  • Build and maintain product knowledge across OmniCable categories
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and industry expertise
  • Support distributor partners and internal teams with product insights
  • Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Operate independently while contributing to overall team success
  • Communicate effectively across departments including sales, operations, and credit
  • Support a collaborative, high-performance team environment aligned to company values

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently meets or exceeds KPIs related to outreach, account activation, and revenue generation
  • Identifies and converts new opportunities within target accounts and channels
  • Maintains accurate CRM data to support pipeline visibility and execution
  • Partners effectively with internal teams to drive opportunity conversion and customer success

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily office-based or hybrid, depending on location and team structure
  • Standard MondayFriday schedule with flexibility based on business needs
  • Fast-paced sales environment requires strong organization and communication skills
  • Frequent use of CRM systems and digital outreach tools (phone, email, social media)
  • Regular collaboration across sales, marketing, and operations teams

Work Experience

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 12 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
  • Strong phone presence and comfort making 50+ outbound calls per day.
  • Resilient mindset with the ability to handle rejection positively.
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
