Shape the product roadmap for SLDS UI customization across the pro‑code to low‑code spectrum. Define requirements and acceptance criteria for new styling capabilities, ensuring consistency across ISV partners and enterprise admins. Collaborate closely with design, engineering, accessibility specialists, and the broader community to prioritize opportunities, execute iterations, and ship high‑quality increments. Drive the roadmap for the Design Systems website, enhancing developer and designer documentation, component references, and contribution guidance. Own the backlog and release roadmap for SLDS 1 and SLDS 2, balancing enhancements, bug fixes, technical debt, and compliance work to maintain system health and trust. Maintain backward compatibility of all updates and coordinate with design‑tooling teams to keep Figma UI kits, linters, and validators in sync with the component library. Required Qualifications
5+ years of product management experience, with focus on design systems, component libraries, developer tools, or frontend platforms at scale. Deep understanding of CSS architecture, design tokens, and component‑level styling. Ability to communicate fluently with engineers about styling‑API trade‑offs. Strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting telemetry, accessibility audits, and user research to drive prioritization. Experience writing rigorous acceptance criteria, managing agile backlogs, and leading cross‑functional delivery. Clear, concise communicator across technical and non‑technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on familiarity with SLDS, Lightning Web Components, or another enterprise‑scale design system such as Carbon, Fluent, Material, or Spectrum. Prior experience as a designer, front‑end engineer, or design technologist who has built with the system before managing it. Deep familiarity with design token architecture and tooling pipelines (e.g., Style Dictionary, Theo) and the flow from design decisions to code. Experience owning a component library, understanding the human and technical costs of breaking changes. Accessibility champion with a track record of ensuring inclusive design. Compensation
Typical base salary range: $172,500 – $260,100 annually. In selected cities (SanFrancisco and NewYorkCity metro areas), range: $207,800 – $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only; bonus, equity, and benefits are additional. Accommodations
