ELD - El Dorado, AR 71730 Phlebotomist – Mobile Collections On‑job training provided; no experience required. LifeShare is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team of blood collection specialists. As part of the mobile operations team, the phlebotomist will venture throughout town and to surrounding communities, experiencing new people and places each day. The phlebotomist will register blood donors, administer a medical screening assessment to determine suitability for donation, perform phlebotomy, and provide care to the donor during and after the donation process. By creating a positive donor experience, the phlebotomist will help cultivate a pool of return donors and ensure a safe blood supply is available to our community when needed for traumas, therapies and treatments. Responsibilities
Register blood donors Administer medical screening assessment Perform phlebotomy Provide care to donors during and after the donation process Create a positive donor experience to cultivate return donors Load equipment and supplies onto the mobile donor coach and maneuver in limited space Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Successfully complete the in‑house Donor Services Training Program and proficiency checks within the first 90 days of employment Complete a Company‑approved adult CPR/First Aid course within the first six months of employment or possess current CPR certification and maintain it Knowledgeable in all collection methods and able to manage collection events Dependable, punctual, and possess effective communication skills Demonstrate a positive approach toward donors and other staff members, acting in a highly professional manner at all times Maintain confidentiality of donor information at all times Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Work may be performed in a center, in a mobile unit, or at remote worksites Lifts equipment, such as portable donor beds, boxes of donor blood and supplies, up to 35 lbs. unassisted Perform duties requiring standing or bending for long periods without relief Operate a Company vehicle for travel to blood drives; must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our commercial auto insurance carrier Work with needles, scissors, blood bags, human blood and collection equipment and handle stressful situations Potential exposure to infectious diseases from blood and blood products Work a variable schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays Compensation and Benefits
Pay during the training period is $14.00/hr with an opportunity to increase to $16.50/hr within six months, plus incentive bonus opportunities.
