The Assistant Designer will assist the Design team with the execution of garments in the Johnny Was line. They will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as sewing and patternmaking to ensure completion of the line. Responsibilities
Sketch new styles and update when needed Assist with scarf developments Help clean artworks and develop fabric/trim under the supervision of the VP of Design and Design Director Assist with revisions requested by the Design Director Create and update boards for prints, PFD and scarves Organize fabric racks and prepare for meetings Check and organize scarf duplicates by delivery Order fabrics or any materials needed for JWC Order duplicates for scarves, scarf garments and prints Communicate with China regarding comments, corrections and revisions on garments or fabrics Drop shipments for scarf garments and prints Input styles into RLM Gather fabrics and trims for fitting Help create line sheets Handle international and domestic shipping & receiving Perform other duties as necessary Accountability
This position is accountable for the efficient follow‑through on the entire design process, from taking direction from the Design Director to working closely with other members of the Design team to ensure garments are made correctly and in a timely manner. Qualifications and Guidelines

Pay range: $24 – $34 per hour. In addition, bonus and/or commission and benefits may be offered, including healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and product discounts. EEO Statement
