Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities A Route Sales Representative (RSR) is responsible for ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products. The role requires a neat, professional appearance (sometimes in a uniform) and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Drivers must check their delivery vehicle daily, keep accurate records, quickly report maintenance issues, and fill out daily driver logs, time logs, and hours of service.
The position requires flexibility to work varying days and early morning start times, generally around 3:00 am. Days off are on Wednesday and Sunday. An RSR is expected to increase sales by expanding shelf space, creatively displaying in-store promotions and displays, and ensuring product shelf life is maximized through proper rotation.
Effective RSRs use data and marketing plans to build relationships and drive customer growth through communication, planning, ordering, and execution. Adaptability and flexibility are essential, as RSRs serve accounts during designated service windows and may need to work non‑traditional business hours. A willingness to gain industry knowledge and ability to work independently and as part of a team are key to success in a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) environment. Prior experience as a delivery driver is beneficial.

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record
Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines
Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV
Must execute the best practices of RSR training (after a 4‑week company‑paid training)
Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent total rewards package.
