Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports focused on sales performance, resource management, and project financials.
Use SQL, Databricks, Power Query, Excel, and other tools to extract, transform, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems.
Build and maintain scalable data models that support accurate, timely, and consistent business reporting.
Automate recurring reporting, manual processes, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
Partner with consulting business unit leaders to understand reporting needs, define key performance indicators, and deliver insights to support decision‑making.
Support the consulting operations team by identifying opportunities to improve processes, data quality, reporting accuracy, and workflow consistency.
Collaborate with finance, sales operations, resource management, project delivery, and technology teams to ensure alignment in reporting requirements and data usage.
Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, identify trends, highlight risks, and uncover opportunities for operational improvement.
Monitor report performance, troubleshoot data issues, and implement enhancements to improve usability, reliability, and scalability.
Create and maintain documentation for reports, data definitions, business logic, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
Promote best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, data governance, and self‑service analytics to drive continuous improvement in business intelligence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field.
3‑5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, finance or a related role.
Strong experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BI.
Excellent SQL skills, including experience with Apache Spark SQL and T‑SQL.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and analysis.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or R.
Strong experience with Power Query for data transformation, automation, and reporting support.
Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple business systems.
Ability to translate business requirements into reporting solutions, analytical models, and actionable insights.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
A reporting portfolio demonstrating experience designing dashboards, reports, data models, and analytical solutions, preferably including examples of Power BI reporting and data visualization.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Databricks or similar cloud‑based data platforms.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, particularly in a sales, finance, project, or operations reporting context.
Experience with Microsoft Power Apps or Power Automate.
Experience supporting consulting, professional services, project‑based, or resource‑based business models.
Familiarity with project financial metrics, utilization, revenue forecasting, resource planning, pipeline reporting, and operational performance management.
Experience designing automated workflows, data validation processes, or reporting control.
Knowledge of data governance, semantic modeling, DAX, and Power BI service administration.
Experience partnering with senior business leaders to develop executive‑level reporting and insights.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work generally involves sitting, talking, hearing and typing; visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work Environment
Travel required: occasional 0‑10%
The role is based in Chicago, Denver, or Irving and requires 3 days per week in office.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and home office settings, and routinely uses standard office equipment.
May require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work‑related travel.
Compensation The salary range for this role is $77,400 to $135,400.
