Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Inside Sales Specialist role based in Birmingham, AL. The Inside Sales Specialist will manage inbound and outbound sales activities, including responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, and following up on opportunities with distributors and contractors. This role includes qualifying and nurturing leads, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and coordinating with outside sales associates across Georgia, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. The specialist will handle order entry, monitor delivery status, and work closely with the distribution center to support same-day shipping and fast response commitments. Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records in the CRM system, supporting product promotions, and providing knowledgeable, professional customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Demonstrated Inside Sales experience with the ability to manage quotes, orders, and follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Lead Generation and pipeline management, including qualifying prospects and identifying new sales opportunities.
Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to timely, accurate, and professional support.
Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with customers, internal teams, and field sales associates.
Comfort using CRM and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, order entry systems); experience in electrical or industrial products is a plus.
Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, AL, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, sales, or a related field is beneficial.
Previous experience in manufacturer representation, distribution, or a similar B2B sales environment is an advantage.
