What You Will Do as a Customs Trade Compliance Analyst The Customs Trade Compliance Analyst role is accountable for ensuring company compliance with international trade regulations by interpreting trade laws and translating complex operational data into actionable insights. This role processes and reconciles large volumes of data to identify anomalies, discrepancies, and systemic process gaps that create compliance risk, and surfaces opportunities to strengthen controls, improve data integrity, and support accurate product classification and documentation review. The position partners with internal stakeholders and coordinates with vendors and brokers to promote lawful and efficient import and export activities.
How You Will Make a Difference
Serves as subject matter expert by interpreting and communicating import and export guidelines supporting adherence to complex international trade laws and regulations
Designs and maintains technology-enabled compliance workflows (standardized data intake, automated reconciliations, exception reporting, and audit-ready documentation) to improve speed, accuracy, and traceability
Develops, monitors, and reviews compliance processes to ensure adherence to evolving international trade regulations. This includes providing Transaction Value Statements, Proforma Invoices, Importer Declarations, Anti-Dumping monitoring, tracking Tariff Rate Quotas, reviewing documentation, validating country of origin, and other information for prompt and accurate entry filing
Manages the audit of entry filings, brokerage invoices, and ACH duty payment and reconciliation processes
Oversees the Raw Materials Affidavit Solicitation Processes, ensuring the accurate recertification of the country of origin and Preference Qualification for all raw materials
Skills for Success
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
Must have proven advanced proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/SUMIFS, Nested If Statements, data validation) and PowerBI.
Experience with customs regulations, import/export, or other supply chain related roles (preferably in manufacturing)
Must be able to research, understand and interpret Trade Rules and Regulations from resources such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CROSS Customs Rulings, US Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) and other regulatory documentation
Advanced analytical capability to structure, manage, and interrogate complex datasets; identify trends/outliers and translate results into compliance actions
Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills
Detail orientated with the ability to prioritize work
