Key Responsibilities Work with the Sales Executive and decision makers to develop sales strategy aligned with global and regional objectives. Define market approach for the sales force and determine targets the sales force should achieve and strive to exceed. Drive a sales culture by sharing best practices, developing and sustaining cross‑functional relationships, and filtering information downwards. Provide input into sales policies and procedures, ensuring implementation and continuous improvement to drive business results. Drive alignment to the sales and organizational strategies and ensure execution by implementing relevant operational plans. Manage the team, set and monitor budgets, create and execute plans, and report on team activities. Engage with vendors and partners to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies implemented by sales teams. Close the gap between buyer expectations and current‑state sales models, engagement models, and integration methods. Execute the sales strategy by making decisions that influence people, process and technology. Measure progress against objectives and ensure the appropriate level of effort is applied across the sales team. Coordinate sales activities across geography to ensure a consistent go‑to‑market approach is followed and all clients are approached in a planned and coordinated way. Act as a critical link between sales strategy and field execution, ensuring the end‑state vision determined by the executive team is achieved while balancing buyer expectations. Set sales targets and goals, making it easier for clients to buy, listening to client concerns, collecting reality‑based evidence and enforcing standardized but flexible processes and methods across teams. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners to the benefit of clients. Encourage cross‑regional business from clients headquartered in the Americas. Drive selling primarily focusing on inventory and churn while also addressing large‑scale vault capacity. Knowledge & Attributes Sales business acumen – skill to support successful selling through an organizational and business outcome mindset. Sales client engagement and management – skill to effectively manage and analyze the client throughout the client lifecycle, improving relationships and driving sales growth. Sales solution skills – knowledge of offerings, client applications, use cases and market trends and ability to apply them to individual clients and prospect situations. Sales resources optimization – build internal relationships, work with pursuit teams and leverage vendors as resources throughout the sales cycle. Sales pursuit – skill and knowledge to create success by identifying and advancing opportunities at assigned prospects and clients. Sales strategy execution – skill to ensure that the sales strategy is aligned to the business strategy. Sales business management – skill to ensure that target setting and associated processes are aligned to meeting the target. Sales talent management and enablement – skill to ensure that results are achieved through effective talent management. Academic Qualifications & Certifications Relevant tertiary or post‑graduate degree. Experience Significant relevant experience in a similar role within a related environment. Significant previous experience managing a sales team across a large geography. Demonstrable experience dealing with clients and engaging to influence sales. Significant demonstrable experience in the sales leadership role. Strategic and operational planning experience. Physical Requirements Frequently move about inside and outside of a data centre/facility. Remain stationary for long periods of time. Ascend/descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform. Position oneself in small spaces. Operate computer, peripherals and other office equipment. Perform work during U.S. business hours and time zones. Work onsite at a data centre location and be exposed to varying temperatures and loud noises. Travel required up to 25% of the time. Perform work from a remote location with a stable internet connection. Compensation Remote position requiring reliable internet and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover remote‑working and personal mobile device expenses, if applicable. Base salary ranges from $162,700 to $232,000 and is eligible for commissions and incentives.
