Job Summary The Systems Administrator provides high-level IT support by planning, configuring, maintaining, and overseeing technological infrastructure on the property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages service calls by reporting, researching, diagnosing, and resolving problems to system and network infrastructure
Reviews and monitors all servers and their related hardware and software to ensure reliable operation
Prepares system backups for failures and escalates when necessary
Provides maintenance of personal computers, laptops, and other computer equipment
Creates and maintains user and email accounts as well as related permissions
Configures, tests, and maintains advanced IT systems, such as LAN/WAN circuits and equipment, wireless access points, business applications, etc.
Compiles and presents electronically generated reports regarding accounting and financial systems
Maintains the facility’s internal phone system by installing hardware and setting up new user accounts
Utilizes project management skills to develop and implement detailed plans and monitor progress on a regular basis
Trains staff in the use of new or changed systems and educates users to reduce recurring issues
Implements and tests various network disaster recovery and failover scenarios
Analyzes management needs regarding IT systems and recommends solutions to business problems
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal/written communication as well as interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely and efficient manner
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Demonstrated working knowledge of software and web applications as well as system hardware
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field
Three to five years of work experience in information technology or related field
Must obtain a valid gaming license, where applicable

The employee may be required to have specific vision abilities (e.g., color vision).
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
The employee may be exposed to smoke when on the floor of the gaming room.
