Key Responsibilities
Install, upgrade, monitor, maintain, and support networks for multiple special programs.
Develop network solutions to meet customer needs for projects of varying size and complexity.
Lead small and medium project initiatives and provide technical expertise to network and systems administrators.
Analyze and diagnose computer and communications problems; recommend corrective actions.
Perform installation of network equipment/hardware for wired data systems and VOIP.
Develop architectural diagrams of systems using standard templates.
Identify customer requirements and assist with the design of enterprise systems.
Design and configure systems to DoD security standards and communicate technical controls.
Interact with government leads to ensure all system and interface requirements are consistent and valid across the enterprise.
Develop, document, execute, and integrate systems engineering processes as required.
Integrate activities over the life cycle of systems within the Enterprise, including prototyping, production, operations, and sustainment.
Develop feasibility studies, plans, papers, and other documentation to support decision making.
Optimize network performance and utilize network monitoring software.
Work independently and as a team member.
Assist in mentoring and training junior technical personnel.
Collaborate with support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. military.
Required Qualifications
2–9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Or 0–7+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in a related field.
Or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 6–13+ years of relevant experience.
Current TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to pass enhanced checks.
DoD 8570/8140 approved IAT II level certification (e.g., Sec+, CYSA+).
CCNA Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting network infrastructure operations, maintenance, sustainment, project design, and implementation.
Experience with Cisco switches/routers, firewalls, IPS, PKI, DNS, ACAS/Nessus, VMWare.
CCNP Certification.
Experience with crypto logical devices such as KG250x, KG‑175D/F/G.
Basic knowledge of Python and experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience working with government and military defense.
Additional Requirements
Physical ability to work in office, industrial, or laboratory environments; capable of climbing ladders, tolerating confined spaces, and extreme temperature variances.
TS/SCI Security Clearance and DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification for the duration of the assignment.
Salary range: $72,637.00 – $145,000.00, based on location, expectations, and responsibilities.
Location Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton, Ohio). Commute is possible from Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.
