AeroTEC's Sales & Business Development team manages complex proposals, active customer relationships, and a growing pipeline across multiple market segments. As a Sales Operations Analyst you will be the organizational and analytical engine that keeps the BD team running efficiently and improves performance over time. Your work directly impacts how AeroTEC makes strategic decisions by compiling competitive intelligence, conducting win/loss analysis, and tracking market changes. What You’ll Do
Proposal & Pursuit Support
Manage proposal schedules, submission deadlines and internal review milestones. Coordinate proposal team logistics, including kick‑offs, reviews, and action‑item follow‑ups. Maintain and organize proposal content libraries, templates and boilerplate. Support document production: formatting, version control and final assembly of proposals, presentations and deliverables. Track and document lessons learned from wins and losses; integrate findings into future strategies.
Pipeline & CRM Management
Maintain accuracy and hygiene of the sales pipeline. Build and maintain dashboards, reports and scorecards for leadership visibility. Generate regular and ad‑hoc reporting on sales metrics and KPIs. Partner with BD leads to ensure consistent pipeline entries and activity logs.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis
Track market activity, competitor positioning and emerging opportunities. Contribute to win/loss analysis and identify actionable patterns. Research new entrants, program announcements and regulatory developments. Maintain a living view of the competitive landscape.
Process & Operations
Identify bottlenecks in the sales and proposal process and recommend improvements. Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures for BD activities. Manage templates for proposals, SOWs, NDAs and teaming agreements. Support onboarding of new BD team members with clear documentation. Handle administrative coordination: meeting scheduling, internal communications and expense tracking.
Qualifications
Education
Four (4) year degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience in project administration.
Experience
3–6 years in sales operations, proposal coordination, business development support or similar analytical/operational roles in engineering services, aerospace, defense or technical professional services.
Skills
Strong analytical instincts and comfort working with data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, structured trackers). Experience with proposal or document management processes. Excellent written communication and synthesis skills. Proactive, self‑directed and detail‑oriented. Collaborative and adaptable under pressure.
Bonus Points
Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools. Exposure to competitive intelligence, market research or strategic analysis. Experience building or improving sales operations processes from scratch. Background in project management; formal training (PMP, CAPM) a plus. Exposure to government contracting, ITAR‑controlled environments or defense acquisition processes.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and sit for long periods. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel 25% (flying and driving) to various international and domestic worksites may be required. Driving a personal vehicle for errands is required; a state driver’s license and clean driving record are required. AeroTEC Ways of Working and Benefits
