Position Summary The Senior QA/QC Manager leads and directs project quality activities under the leadership and guidance of the Manhattan Site Quality & Commissioning Manager. The Senior QA/QC Manager supports the Manhattan Project Team, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Engineer. A flexible and adaptable team player who possesses strong communication and client service skills, the Senior QA/QC Manager delivers a reliable, repeatable, and maintainable project that adheres to all aspects of the design.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
All qualities and responsibilities of a QA/QC Manager
Review drawing and specification sets during project pursuits and for committed projects across multiple regions
Be a presenter in interviews and business development meetings
Provide in‑field quality inspections
Create scopes for and manage third‑party testing and commissioning agent contracts
Train and mentor other MEP crew
Lead the development of project‑level programs
Assist with the development of corporate‑level best practices and initiatives
Project‑level leadership or engagement with the client and client SMEs
Other duties as assigned
Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of Manhattan document control and scheduling software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math and accounting skills
Functions effectively as part of a team
Dependability
Ability to understand and follow directions
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to read drawings and specifications
BIM360 experience preferred, but not required
Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent; 15 years of industry experience
Proven ability to manage projects in excess of $75 million
Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
Must be able to adapt to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day
Ability to repeat the same movements
Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls
Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence
Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time
Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically; must have a valid Driver’s License
Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards
