Overview The Inside Sales position is responsible for providing customer-driven focus, technical expertise, and product selection directly for customers and in support of outside sales representatives within the Instrumentation and Automation unit.
Responsibilities
Receive and process orders via telephone, email, and fax
Provide order status and pricing information to customers
Understand basic products and services
Provide technical specifications and recommendations
Develop and establish a professional relationship with vendors to meet the customer’s needs
Identify problems and provide solutions
Understand basic problem escalation procedures
Requirements
Extensive phone communication experience in a customer service environment
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Instrumentation, Automation, & MRO products, preferably for a distributor
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Purchasing, sourcing, or replenishment experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Enjoy working in a team environment
